ABOUT

A Little about me

Rasool Berry serves as the Teaching & Family Pastor at The Bridge Church in Brooklyn, New York, and is Director of Partnerships & Content Development at Our Daily Bread Ministries. He is the general editor and contributor of the book and video series, The Whole Man which focuses on spiritual development for Black men. He is the host of the Where Ya From? podcast and featured in Juneteenth: Faith & Freedom documentary directed by Ya’Ke Smith which was the recipient of the Best of Fest Award at Hill Country Film Festival and the FilmSlam Student Choice Award for Best Feature Film at the 47th Cleveland International Film Festival.

Rasool graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in Africana Studies and Sociology.

Rasool’s work often examines the intersection of faith and culture and has had his work featured in Christianity Today, The Witness, and the book, Keeping The Faith: Reflections on Politics & Christianity. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Tamica, and their daughter.

Rasool serves the teaching pastor in a unique partnership with The Bridge Church in Brooklyn and as a team member with a non-profit focused on millennials. Rasool’s name means ‘messenger’ in Arabic. It’s fitting because he is passionate about communicating spiritual truths into the language and ethos of our times, especially to college students and young adults. His blog has been featured by national outlets such as The Witness, Relevant Magazine, The Gospel Coalition, and Faithful Magazine. Rasool lives in Brooklyn, with his wife Tamica and daughter, Ire'Ana.
